At Work
- reduce the amount of waste you create
- place all cardboard and office paper into your paper recycling bin
- place your plastic bottles, aluminium cans, tin cans, milk and juice cartons into your co-mingled bin
- start an electronic waste recycling program in your office for the collecting of all electronic waste (e.g. computer, mobile phones, photocopiers etc.)
- start a cartridge recycling program in your office for the collection of all printer, photocopier and fax machine ink cartridges.
At Home
- ensure that you recycle all your paper, cardboard, plastics, aluminium cans, tin cans, milk and juice cartons and glass
- don't put non - recyclable items in your recyclcling bin
- compost food scraps and use on your garden as fertiliser
- correctly dispose of any large electrical goods (eg fridges, washign machine, dryers etc.) through either your local council or private recyclers.
- dispose of any small elelctonic equipment (eg mobile phones, batteries etc) through local electrical retailers who will send this equipment off to be recycled.
